Throughout the month of January, several parts of Tasmania saw ongoing threat from bushfire emergencies including the Huon Valley region. During this time, Work & Training employee Lucy Whitehead helped to protect the lives and property of the area as a volunteer firefighter based in Geeveston.
Lucy is a highly-valued member of Work & Training’s Foundation Skills team, currently embedded within the Huon Valley Council as part of a 26TEN program delivering ICT, literacy and numeracy support to council employees. We are incredibly proud of Lucy and her commitment and dedication to the Huon Valley community.
